Tahuari has a long history in herbal medicine around the world.
Tahuari, a majestic tree flourishing in the hills of Peruvian Amazonia, stands tall at heights of up to 30 meters, with trunks reaching diameters of 3 meters. Its bark, ranging in shades of green, grey, and brown, boasts a unique sweetness within its rugged exterior.
Distinguished by elliptical, glossy leaves, Tahuari graces the landscape with vibrant yellow, white, or purple bell-shaped blooms, enhancing its natural beauty. The elongated fruits, measuring 12-60 cm, house prized brown/grey, winged seeds. Tahuari’s inner bark holds invaluable medicinal value.
Take 1 hour before food or 2 hours after food. Generally 2 cups daily.
Decoction: Boil 2 tablespoons per 3/4 litre of water for 20 mins.
